Required Skills Include:
-2-4 years experience in a Windows environment with VC++, C, C++ is essential
-Detailed knowledge of COM, STL, ODBC and web applications
-Good understanding of SQL, TCP/IP
-Ability to diagnose and/or troubleshoot problems with applications
-Strong analytical skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to interpret detailed information in the pursuit of solving complicated problems.
-Ability to understand and address the needs of end users
-Ability to work through complete software life cycle: obtain project requirements from users, produce functional specifications, work through testing and bug fixes
-Ability to work under pressure, and with minimal supervision
The following experience/knowledge is considered an asset:
-Experience with VBA and Excel
-Knowledge of financial communication protocols (FIX, CMS, STAMP, etc?
-Knowledge of capital markets/financial industry
Education:
BA/BSc, preferably in Computer Science or Mathematics
Responsibilities Include:
-Produce and maintain technical documentation for all new development, maintenance changes and upgrades
-Maintain proper source control for all coding changes
