Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is an Ontario-based company, whose principal business is the generation and sale of electricity.
We are in search for an Information Systems Analyst located at our Atikokan Generating Station in Atikokan, Ontario.
Reporting to the Electricity Production Systems Manager, you will be responsible to assist users in defining and documenting their information system requirements and assist in the design, development and implementation of simple information systems, programs, or databases. You will provide consultative, training and education services and periodically supervise technical staff assisting with work assignments. A substantial part of this job will involve liaising with plant staff to determine their IT requirements and provide general IT support. In addition, you will also provide IT support on project management initiatives on an as need basis.
Qualifications
If you have a bachelor?s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science complemented with mininum of five years as a seasoned IT professional, we want to hear from you! We are in search of an enthusiastic individual who works well with minimal direction and can provide excellent customer service to a remote plant site.
The following technical skills would be of asset:
? Windows workstation and server management (NT, 2000, and XP)
? Windows active directory
? Database administration and design
? Router and switch configuration
? Exchange server administration
? Network administration and design
? Network optimization and troubleshooting
? SAP familiarity
