Analyst III
Campus Services, Computing & Communications Services
Temporary full-time from July 2004 to July 2005, approximately
Reporting to the Manager, Campus Services, Computing and Communications Services, the incumbent will be responsible for key elements of campus wide IT services (eg. web, calendaring, directory, email, etc.). These responsibilities will include: designing and implementing solutions that meet the central computing needs of the University community using project plan methodology. In addition to maintaining and optimizing existing services the incumbent will also develop new solutions, focussing on adherence to industry and campus standards. The position encompasses a wide range of skills including; system design and implementation, problem analysis, system management and administration and technical support for clients.
Requirements of the position include: an undergraduate degree in computing or a related field; relevant experience in computing and communications; knowledge and experience in Client-Server Architecture and other Distributed Computing technologies; proficiency in operating systems such as HP/UX, Solaris, Linux; knowledge and experience with network systems and protocols is a benefit; excellent human relations and communications skills. Familiarity with the University environment would be advantageous.

Normal Hiring Range: $48,551 - $55,834 per annum
