Sets up and operates multiple CNC horizontal lathes equipped with live tooling, and/or multiaxis CNC milling machines to perform machining operations on metallic work pieces.
Certified General Machinist, with minimum of four years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Review set up sheet and specifications to determine set up and procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished work piece.
Responsible to write and edit programs, to select and/or prepare tooling for these operations. Ensure effective production of quality parts by checking these parts to drawing or sketches, using gauges and measuring equipment .
Ability to set up and operate machine tool during controlled machining cycles.
