Job Description :
This position will report into the senior developer/support resource in the canadian office . As part of the toronto team , the incumbent will share the responsibility of providing first line application support to the trading floor , Operation staff and Controllers Excellent communication and problem solving skills are a must .
Maintenance and enhancements to existing applications will also be an important part of the incumbent's responsibility . The primary applications run on the NT platform using Microsoft SQL server as the backend database with Visual Basic , Ms Access and excel front-ends . There is also a few processes running on a Unix Solaris platform using C++ with connections to a Sybase server . A .Net application is also in the process of being rolled out as well
Technical skills :
Stong working knowledge of Unix platform using Shell script , C++ code . Must be comfortable with debugging and monitoring tools on this platform . Must be able to use Unix commands to analyze logs , determine causes of and find resolutions to problems as they arise. Must be familiar with socket connections thru c++ , processes versus threads
Must have strong NT platform skills in .NET , visual Basic , Microsoft access and Excel using VBA . Must have strong coding skills in Microsoft SQL server using stored procedures , triggers and DTS.更多精彩文章及讨论，请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
