KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Investigate the problem and try to solve the problem before send to developer
• Develop and implement automation of test cases and expand the test automation coverage. (optional)
• Lead the test planning, creation and execution of test cases.
• Participate in quality measures reviews while defining the QA process enhancements based on industry standards and practices
• Identify risks as early as possible in the system development life cycle.
• Analyze complicated systems with many points of integration on a low level where you may be exposed to the code base.
• Document, troubleshoot, and isolate problems encountered during testing/support.
• Provide suggestions and take on extra responsibilities as the team grows.
REQUIREMENTS:
• A minimum two years of quality assurance experience in software development.
• University degree or college diploma in the field of computer science or management information systems is an asset.
• Familiar with windows and unix (solaris)
• Knowledge and experience with software development processes. (include perl, bash)
• Experience with Database system (sybase and oracle), can write and understand sql statement
• Knowledge and experience with c++,java,c# will be an asset.
• Experience collaborating with programmers and business experts on clarifying requirements and defining testing approaches.
• Experience with unit and acceptance testing techniques.
• Experience with writing test scripts and automated testing tools.
• Experience in context-based, exploratory, and scenario testing.
• Excellent knowledge of general software testing tools, strategies and methodologies. (include HPQC)
• A passion for continuous learning.
• Ability to understand complex technologies and interpret/communicate concepts in simple terms.
• Good written, verbal, and listening skills complemented by strong communication and interpersonal skills with a variety of individuals at all levels.
