The incumbent is responsible for providing specialized technical leadership in the analysis, design, development, and support of cost effective, mission critical, on-line, risk management and decision support systems for the Banking groups . The candidate must be able to interact with various people like Development Manager, Business Analysts, Users, and Production Support groups. The incumbent will have at least 8 years of progressive IT experience and a strong technical capabilities. The individual must thrive on challenge, be proactive and dynamic, and demonstrate initiative and eagerness to learn. Key Accountabilities Participate and give technical direction in development of cost effective and robust applications.Provide technical support to applications in production and during user acceptance testing. Participate in systems implementation, planning, and documentation development. Provide technical input to other team members Working and interacting with support teams to configure the server environment. Will need to facilitate the promotion of applications through UAT and Production. Skills required - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Strong analytical skills. - Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. - Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. - Strong ability to work on several concurrent assignments involving various technologies and environments. - Disciplined approach to development methodology and software development technologies and concepts. - Extensive hands-on experience with all phases of SDLC.
Required technical qualifications: - Strong knowledge of J2EE and JAVA web development technologies (Core Java/POJO’s, JSP, Struts1.3, Servlets, JMS, Spring, JavaMail,WebServices, XML, XSLT, Javascript, AJAX, Jquery, HTML) 5years +; - Must have worked with at least one commercial ETL package, preferably Talend ETL. - Advanced level of knowledge for web application servers. - At least 5 years of experience in development on a Unix Environment (preferably Solaris)., including Unix Scripting - Strong knowledge of Oracle ( 5 years +). Strong Knowledge of PL/SQL is required. - Familiarity with major transport protocols: FTP, SFTP and other SSH connectivity tools. Desired business knowledge: -Knowledge of financial instruments, with a strong preference for Capital Markets. -Experience in application / solutions architecture.
