You will be part of a multi-disciplined engineering team participating in the full life cycle development process of electromechanical systems for industrial applications. These applications are driven by embedded firmware using HMI and serial communication protocols, (RS232, I2C, SPI). This is an ideal job for an experienced Electrical Test or Development Engineer who wants to work hands on and be in control of your destiny. Your core responsibilities will be the validation and test equipment/processes for the hardware and software of all product lines.
General Description:
From inception thru production: develop automated production test equipment; design and set-up production validation tests for in-line and EOL. Manage all related documentation, vendors and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop build and execute in process and EOL automated test equipment for on-site high volume production
Work with the design group on new designs and continuous improvements
Maintain and improve legacy test equipment
Manage external contractors
Documents test process hardware, software, and specifications in accordance with TS16494 or similar process
Set-up test procedures and train production personnel
Work cross functional with other departments, Mfg., Purchasing, Sales, Quality etc.
Requirements and Qualifications
BSEE, BSET or equiv.
3+ years in an electronic product environment
Proven track record in meeting goals, objectives and deadlines
Extensive LabView (or equiv.) Experience
Knowledge of other programming languages such as C#, C, C++, .NET
Electronics manufacturing environment experience
Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Conversant with electrical hardware design such as: schematic capture, PCB layout,CAD design tools, OrCad etc.
Experience with communication protocols such as: RS232, SPI, I2C
Creative thinker with the ability to voice and implement new and unique ideas
Knowledge of SPC methods and standards
Hands on Skills
RF background is a plus
