合理的就会存在,已经有几个朋友refer candidate了。

JD有要求必须加拿大的LAN工作经验吗?最近遇到好几个resume写得极其漂亮的印度人,问S/HE什么都会,结果问到细节给人感觉什么都不会。不是欺负新移民,中国移民技术绝对比印度人、中东、东欧好很多,但是语言不好、中国固有的思维模式、没有外企(在中国)工作经验,的确无法胜任工作。我说两个身边的case,某北京新移民,登陆多伦多3个月,由于长期在外企做developer和team leader,同时拿到两个offer,最后pick了年薪8万多的其中一个。另外一个移民,夫妻从college转到university读CS,毕业后一个进银行做developer,三年后年薪12万,老婆在一个it公司年薪6万。银行工作不敢说都好,但是多伦多是5大银行的HQ,多一点local银行经验就业机会更多。有人说层层扒皮,不要看别agent拿多少commission,先提高自己local经验吧,有了bargaining power越跳槽收入越高,到时候是agent来求你。另外,多伦多中资银行我认识几个人,他们开的工资并不高,我所知道其中一个银行的IT support一个小时不到20块。先调查研究再下定语吧。

    Duties will include, but are not limited to:
    • Performing in-depth protocol and network analysis to determine root cause of application and network performance related problems.
    • Perform service maintenance activities including Change Management coordination and implementation.
    • Responsible for Incident Management ensuring that incidents are effectively escalated, managed, and resolved with full communication of status, plans, and actions to management and customers.
    • Monitoring and oversight of network performance, capacity, and tune related network components.
    • Bringing forward new ideas, providing recommendations to enhance network performance, reliability, and support capabilities.

    Required Skills
    • A Computer Science degree or equivalent in real-world experience.
    • 5 years of LAN and WAN network design and support experience.
    • In-depth knowledge of Windows administration
    • Experience of Implementation and support of Windows Servers, Active Directory, VMware or other virtualization products.
    • A solid understanding of different firewall technologies
    • Excellent technical design and documentation skills and be able to mentor other team members and help with the design and build of various solutions.
    • Superior organization skills and a strong attention to detail.
    • A willingness to learn new technologies while working in a fast changing environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences.
    • Be effective at managing multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meeting deadlines and working well under pressure, along with proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong understanding and knowledge of network security and best practices.
    • A strong understanding of ITIL practices.
    • Project management experience and skills are an asset.
    • Excellent customer service skills and a strong ability to diffuse tense customer situations and project a positive, confident outlook.

        • 什么银行?中国银行?还是icici?
      • 这个论坛不少人典型中国知识分子的毛病,一上来就说三道四,这个只是intermediate的职位,salary是否合适,google一下就知道市场行情了。一些来了3、5年的中国移民从事IT工作也还不到这个数,进入银行干一段时间可以作为自己进入该行业的机会。
        • 说实在的他这些要求哪怕就那一条5年以上经验,就甭想用5万找到本地人的,只是用来欺负新移民没经验的。如果每个银行都这样干,就业市场薪资水准下降,吃亏的还不是我们?银行工作就这样,也就没啥好机会值得争取了
          • 有可能实质是个operation职位,要求写得全,未必真精通,银行分得很细的,operation team多数情况下只是建账号,reset pswd,load image,reboot server
            • 甭管是什么,银行的ops team 5万还是太低了,helpdesk在银行一般都要5万起吧
              • 本地银行还有没外包的helpdesk吗?再说operation可能加班费不少

              I mean those who unrealistically assume that every job is a 6 figuere job.

    • 说实话,我周围懂这些技术的人很多,大部分都没工作,年薪5万算很正常,,,,就算年薪4万,也可以找到这些人,Windows Servers, Active Directory, VMware 难度都不大
      如果要是招聘EXCHANGE SERVER.SQL SERVER. .NET,那么5万有点低,,,,呵呵

      WINDOWS的体系本来就比UNIX的体系工资低,5万正常
