Our company is moving into high growth mode and we are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and ambitious Embedded System Electronics Design Expert to help us remain a leader on this significant market opportunity.
The company has established strong market niches with over 10,000 units sold to date.
We are currently seeking an excellent electronics design professional to help us design and expand our new thermostatic product line.
JOB PROFILE
You will design a new line of the most advanced thermostat controls for our target market to help our customers realize energy savings in excess of 25%.
You will design new projects, write source code and design hardware for embedded systems micro-controllers.
You will work mostly with Atmel and Intel code and micro controllers
Some of the responsibilities of your role are:
• Design a new line of Green Thermostats™ for our school and Multi Residential market (specifications will be supplied).
• This design requires in depth knowledge of C, C++, assembler, Atmel micro-controller, RS232 / 485 / RF communication, LCD display, RTC, PCB design (SMT) and different software knowledge for all of the above.
• Help production on the technical side.
QUALIFICATIONS
The person we are looking for to fill this position should have:
• 5 + years successful design micro-controller experience and proven design successes.
• The ability to write program code in “C” and “C++” for a wide selection of different micro-controllers.
• Ability to read / draw electronics drawing and knowledge of PCB SMT software.
• Good knowledge of Radio Frequency for remotely controlling loads
• A strong inquisitive and design oriented mind, strong computer skills and engineering focus.
• Personal ownership and responsibility for your work and actions
• High personal standards of integrity and honesty
• A strong sensitivity to customer requirements.
• Hard working, high energy level, self-motivated, with good time management skills
• Relentless product improvement suggestions and a keen sense of urgency
• A proven ability to work in a team and independently to meet or exceed electronics design objectives, goals and deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills,
• A background in residential and commercial HVAC control systems is a plus.
PREFERRED CHARACTERISTICS
• A keen desire to investigate problems customers are experiencing and to propose solutions
• Experience with various micro-controller / networking applications
• Building Automation System interface experience
• Radio Frequency (RF) stand alone controls / network experience
• RF networking / Internet interface connectivity for remote access
• An interest in saving money for your customers through energy savings solutions
• Goal oriented, focused and driven
• Entrepreneurial; able to identify and develop opportunities and pro-actively pursue success
• Prior experience in HVAC controls is an asset but not a requirement
• A passion for reducing Global Warming and pollution for future generations.
