A contract position for a Major bank in Downtown Toronto: Server side Java Developer, 8-10 years hands on experience in server side application development using Java, JDBC, J2EE, RMI, SOAP; 3-5 years in a Financial/Investment institution. Strong experience using Apache Lucene Core File indexing. Strong File Parsing experience with regex the use of Apache Lucene Core to parse files. Strong Unix skills, must be comfortable on the Unix command line and fluent with the Unix shells – preferably bash. Strong Apache ant skills. Good knowledge in database development: Oracle 11g+ onwards with SQL and PL/SQL skills. SQL Tuning and Troubleshooting preferred. Experienced in Software development Client/Server systems, distributed applications and other custom-built projects on UNIX and Windows. Strong in Object-oriented design/analysis, UML modeling, Classic design patterns, J2EE patterns. Have excellent communication skills, work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment.
