Lead Compressor Engineer
The successful candidate is required to work in an integrated Client and Project Management team, undertaking compressor design, improvement and development as well as Post-Contract engineering activities for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contracts for compressors for various applications including natural gas, air, nitrogen, hydrogen, CO2, etc.
Specific Responsibilities Applicable to Position:
Daily work load, the work involves the familiarization of the basic design of the current compressors, preparing P&ID, GA, bill of material and technical documentation for bidding or EPC contractors. Assist the sales as well as projects in sizing and design of compressors, compressor inter stage piping, heat exchangers, blow down tank, compressor skid, etc. Thereafter, the work entails to assist the Client with their technical inquires and prepare for necessary document. During Technical Bids, this job also includes the processing of clarifications from bidders, assisting under a technical point of view the contract preparation and the award of contracts.
Compressor Development, the work includes the review of the current compressor design and increase the capacity of current compressor power frame suitable for both water cooling and air cooling. Adapt the current design into applications for refinery and petrochemical. The job will also include attending kick – off meetings, assistance to the Client in the assessment and validation of the technical issues.
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of 5 years experience in compression industry, P. ENG is an advantage.
• Must have sound knowledge and understanding of technical terms and conditions.
• Very familiar with compressor design and the entire compression system.
• Awareness of compliance, especially that of API 618 and API 11P.
• Ability to identify changes and improvements to the technical documentation and procedures to reflect Client’s changing requirements.
• Knowledge of computer based systems including, CAD, Solid Works, FEA analysis, Excel, Word, Microsoft Office or equivalent software packages.
• Experience in piston compressors, particularly in respect of Compressors for CNG, industrial gas and API applications.
• Experience in dealing with Major Oil Company or EPC Contractor would be preferred.
• Experience in calculation of heat transfer and gas dynamics is required.
• Knowledge of relevant ASME, ISO, is an advantage.

Ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and preparing monthly and annual expense forecasts and reconciliating bank statements. Collecting and reporting monthly expense variances and analysis
able to perform inventory control, purchasing and order processing.
Detailed oriented and self driven. Able to work independently.
A bachelor's degree or a diploma in the accounting or finance area would be preferred.
