Specific Accountabilities
+ Research, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions based on the latest technology trends, application capabilities, and best practices.
+ Drive creation of reference architectures and proofs-of-concept
+ Work with project managers and development teams to continuously improve the software development methodology and processes
+ Be cost-conscious to arrive to the right solutions; use opportunities to reuse, optimize and enhance the solutions and approaches to reduce cost of product ownership; suggest / design various acceleration tools and techniques to improve software development and maintenance
+ Follow a standards-based architecture processes and enable tracking and enforcement of architectural guidelines.
+ Establish product specific standards where needed.
+ Develop and maintain all relevant architecture documentation while working with other architects: infrastructure architecture, application architecture, integration architecture, and the enterprise data architecture.
+ Work with development teams to establish and enforce best practices for software quality
+ Provide architectural and development guidance to technical teams.
+ Be a technical lead for development and coordinate the work scope and effort required.
+ Be the point of contact for development teams in the resolution of technical issues.
+ Review development artifacts and documentation; ensure quality, consistency and make sure to adhere to company policies and application development standards
+ Ensure that development follows all applicable standards including but not limited to quality, design, security, scalability, availability
+ Monitor and ensure adherence to application development standards and code reviews to ensure activities occur as planned
Requirements
Experience:
+ Expert in .net stack including Net 4.5, C#, ASP.Net MVC, Web APIs, jQuery, Entity Framework, SQL Server.
+ Must have experience of building multi-tenancy, high-volume, transactional, SAAS applications with scalability and high availability.
+ Experience in designing, developing and implementing enterprise-grade solutions including models, documents, and plans
+ Hands on experience of writing Unit Tests, using Mocking and DI frameworks.
+ Experience in presenting and communicating designs in person and in writing
+ 4+ years of architecture experience
+ Proven experience in developing technical architectures as part of the overall enterprise architecture.
+ Demonstrated ability to fully design and produce end-to-end technical specification for software systems
+ Proven experience in relational database technologies and familiarity with DB design
+ Experience in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with cross-disciplinary teams
+ Experience in developing and architecting scalable service oriented solutions
+ Experience working in formal design as part of iterative or Agile processes
+ Experience with cloud, mobile, CI will be asset
Skills and Knowledge:
+ Sound understanding of CSS3/HTML5/LESS/Bootstrap
+ Sound understanding of UI/UX
+ Expert in object oriented principles and design patterns
+ Solid understanding of transaction and information systems, and data warehouses
+ Strong knowledge of enterprise class software requirements including security, scalability, and usability
+ Team attitude, good communication
+ Ability to work with cross functional teams toward common solutions
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
